The Vision
When I purchased 55 Lincoln Park in 2023, I saw more than a beautiful building. I saw the opportunity to activate a space with profound cultural significance—the former home of Newark's Official Historian, in a neighborhood that was once the beating heart of Black cultural life in the city.
From the 1920s through 1950s, Lincoln Park was known as "The Coast" Newark's jazz capital, where well known musicians performed, where artists gathered, where culture happened. This brownstone sits at the center of that legacy.
Château 55 continues that tradition through contemporary programming that serves today's community while honoring yesterday's cultural excellence. This neighborhood has a story. We're keeping it alive.
